Bayer Neighborhood Park and Gardens is a unique collaboration between Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks and LandPaths. It is a 6-acre urban farm & city park-in-the-making in the heart of the Roseland neighborhood, 2 miles from Downtown Santa Rosa, with old barns, community gardens, and plenty of ways to relax and have fun.

Sit beneath the walnut tree as the kids explore the garden or ride their bikes. Stroll on the walking paths and pause to admire the uninterrupted view of Taylor Mountain. Lend a hand in the garden and take home fresh produce.all within 2 miles of downtown Santa Rosa!

In addition to a community garden that serves 35 local families, the Bayer property has public gardens. You are welcome to come by for a visit or to lend a hand during the days and times listed below.

Open Gardens & Stewardship

Starting Friday,  Sept 3  2:30- 5:00pm weather permitting
Volunteer stewardship projects to help the garden.  Open to the public.  Children are welcome to volunteer also, or play in the natural play areas.  Bikes, kites, and ball-playing are welcomed and there is a walking path as well as a few picnic tables.  A great place for families or to just relax for a bit.  Perfect for youth who need community service hours!

Sunday August 29 12:30 PM - Carnival of Chaos - This show combines jokes, juggling and reading arts to promote reading with children.  Free book giveaway afterwards with the Sonoma County Free Bookmobile.

WHERE: Bayer Farm - 1550 West Ave in Santa Rosa (across from Sheppard School). West Ave runs north/south between Hearn and Sebastopol Road in the Roseland neighborhood.
