Bayer Farm was one of over 600 gardens planted on May 15/16 as part of the 350 Garden Challenge, a grassroots effort to highlight existing and inspire new edible, waterwise landscapes across Sonoma County. Projects included over one hundred wine barrel "salsa gardens" in low-income households, lawn-to-food transformations, and a container garden at the board of supervisors' office.
