Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve

LandPaths, the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District and the City of Healdsburg celebrated the Grand Opening of the Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve in November 2008. The Preserve consists of a wide variety of natural communities including wetlands and oak woodlands, rocky serpentine chaparral and open grasslands. These communities support animals such as deer, jackrabbit, bobcat, and mountain lion and more than 40 species of birds.

Visitors are invited to explore the current trail network at the 155-acre Preserve and check out the spectacular vistas throughout the property. It is mostly easy to moderate hiking (2-3 miles, about 150 ft. elevation gain) taking in views of Fitch Mountain, the Russian River, and the Mayacama Mountains.
