In session 2, "Native Eyes", join us for a week of magic and adventure as we begin to perceive the natural world through Native Eyes. This week we will learn some of the legends, stories and native skills that will help us feel connected more deeply to the land around us.
Owl Camp is located off of St. Helena Rd. on a 120-acre preserve with a pristine creek, pond, redwood forest and miles of trails all ready for exploring. Activities include: nature-mapping, weaving with willows, woodworking, storytelling, tracking, creek exploration, swimming, music, keeping a nature journal, building a raft, learning bird calls, hiking, canoeing, exploring redwood and salmon habitat, organic gardening.
Logistics:
Open to ages 5-12 (must have gone through Kindergarten!)
28 student maximum per week
Monday-Friday, 9AM-3PM
Reserve your space:
Price: $200.00-$300.00/child per week, sliding scale. Please choose a fee within the sliding scale that fits your budget. We depend upon some families paying more in order to assist others who are unable to afford the full tuition.
(Receive a 5% discount when signing up more than one child or for multiple weeks.)
Please secure your spot with a nonrefundable deposit of $60.00. The remaining amount will be due by June 10th, 2011. A $10 late fee will be charged to payments received after this date.
