Outing Information

Work has just begun on a new segment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail! Join us on the north slope of Sonoma Mountain for a preview of this beautiful corridor connecting Jacobs Ranch with Jack London State Park, protected with help from your Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District. Our rugged hike will take us through redwoods, oaks, & native grasslands to the top of Sonoma Mountain for amazing vistas. We'll get an inside view at a trail-in-the-making with Dee Swanhuyser and Carol Velluntini of the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council and Kim Batchelder from the District.

 

Steep hiking; ~7 miles; Rigorous terrain; BYO lunch;

 

 

The Open Space District protects land in Sonoma County and LandPaths connects you with that land. This program is made possible though a unique partnership between the Sonoma County Ag Preservation & Open Space District and its non-profit partner LandPaths. It is sponsored by the voters of Sonoma County who funded the District’s work with a quarter-cent sales tax, and is coordinated & guided by LandPaths and the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council.
