With warmer weather the wildflowers are starting to come out! In the last couple weeks we have seen Calypso Orchids, Trillium, Fetid Adders Tongue , Douglas Iris, Milk Maids, Indian Warrior, Shooting Stars and Manzanita in Bloom. More »

Badgers are some of the most elusive of our coastal inhabitants. We'll walk through some prime badger real estate on the District-protected Carrington Ranch, looking for burrows and other signs. Susan Kirks, a local naturalist who has lived among badgers for over 10 years, will share badger facts (& fictions) as we hike a future segment of the California Coastal Trail. More »
Help students take care of our protected lands. Over 700 Sonoma County students in grades 2-6 and 11-12 participate in LandPaths award winning In Our Own Backyard (IOOBY) program. Over the course of the school year, these students visit their adopted properties four times, including a stewardship project. More »
