Summer Youth Programs with Santa Rosa City Schools (Ages 6 – 13)

For Santa Rosa City Schools students from Title I schools only, between the ages of 6 to 13.

Owl Camp West at Bohemia Ecological Preserve, Occidental

At Bohemia Ecological Preserve, campers will explore the forests, mountains, and streams that make up this beautiful 1000- acre preserve in Occidental. We will hike through diverse habitats, learn about native plants and animals, and discover life in the creeks and pond. We’ll play nature games, make art, connect with the land and each other!

Los campistas exploraran los bosques, montañas, y arroyos que forman esta hermosa reserva de 1000 acres en Occidental. Caminaremos entre diversos hábitats, aprenderemos sobre plantas y animales nativos, y descubriremos la vida silvestre entre los arroyos y un hermoso estanque. Jugaremos con temas de naturaleza, haremos arte, ¡y nos conectaremos con la tierra y entre no- sotros!

Owl Camp North at Preston Farm, Healdsburg

Campers will be immersed in the great outdoors at Preston Farm, a family-operated, 125-acre organic farm in Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Valley. Campers will learn about organic farming as we plant, harvest, and discover the amazing biodiversity of life on the farm. We’ll explore the cold salmon- bearing streams that make this place so unique, play nature games in the orchards, create music together, and make new friends!

Los campistas serán sumergidos en la belleza de la finca y bodega Preston, una propiedad de familia, con un terreno de 125 acres de producción orgánica en Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Valley. Los campistas aprenderán sobre como las fincas orgánicas plantan y cosechan, al igual descubrirán la increíble biodiversidad en la finca y sus alrededores. Exploraremos sus arroyos, donde nacen salmones, y que hacen esta finca tan única, jugaremos con temas de naturaleza, crearemos música juntos, ¡y haremos nuevos amigos!


Staff 

LandPaths’ education field specialists are CPR and First Aid-certified, Covid-19 vaccinated, skilled and trained outdoor educators bring years of experience working with youth in outdoor settings. There will be at least three staff members present at camp at all times. Staff to camper ratio is generally one staff to 10 campers. We also have a cadre of skilled and trained volunteers assisting throughout the day, making the adult to camper ratio closer to one adult to five campers. All Camp staff and volunteers have been fingerprinted for background checks.
