Curious Creators: Art in Nature
This week, we’ll use nature as our canvas and every day will bring a new camp adventure! Drawing inspiration from the glistening creeks, open meadows and bountiful garden, campers will fuel their creativity through hands-on art projects rooted in the natural world. Whether gathering found objects on an adventure hike, water coloring by the creek or crafting in the garden, this week will be filled with community, art, creativity and fun!
Creadores Curiosos: Arte en la Naturaleza
Esta semana, usaremos la naturaleza como nuestro lienzo y cada día traerá una nueva aventura de campamento. Inspirándose en arroyos brillantes, praderas abiertas y el abundante jardín, alimentaremos nuestra creatividad a través de proyectos de arte con naturaleza. Ya sea recolectando materiales en una caminata, pintando con acuarelas junto al arroyo o creando en el jardín, la semana estará llena de comunidad, arte, creatividad y diversión.
Farm Explorers: Living with the Land
This week, campers will enjoy full days of outdoor adventure filled with games, hands-on farm projects, plant exploration, and refreshing creek time. Together, we will harvest herbs, cook, and create nature-inspired crafts and keepsakes. To culminate the week, campers embark on a Nature Quest! Through these shared experiences, campers will learn how caring for the land helps it thrive and supports us in return, while building confidence, joy and environmental literacy.
Exploradores: Viviendo con la Tierra
Durante esta semana, disfrutaremos de días llenos de aventura al aire libre con juegos, proyectos en el jardín, exploración de plantas y tiempo refrescante en el arroyo. Cosecharemos hierbas, cocinaremos y crearemos manualidades y recuerdos inspirados en la naturaleza. Para cerrar la semana, embarcaremos en una Búsqueda de Naturaleza. A través de estas experiencias, aprenderemos cómo cuidar la tierra le ayuda a prosperar y nos apoya a su vez, mientras desarrollamos confianza, alegría y educación ambiental.
Nature Navigators
This week, campers will deep dive into nature while learning what it takes to live and explore safely in the outdoors. From filtering water and knot tying to boat building and a compass quest, campers will gain skills that help them live more harmoniously with and from the land. Throughout the week, campers will strengthen their connection to nature, build confidence outdoors, and come together through learning, teamwork, and adventure.
Navegantes de la Naturaleza
Esta semana, exploraremos de cerca el mundo natural mientras aprenden lo que se necesita para vivir y explorar de forma segura al aire libre. Desde filtrar agua y hacer nudos hasta construir barcos y realizar una búsqueda con brújula, practicaremos habilidades que nos ayudarán a vivir de manera más armoniosa con la tierra. A lo largo de la semana, fortaleceremos nuestra conexión con la naturaleza, desarrollarán confianza y nos uniremos a través del aprendizaje, el trabajo en equipo y aventuras.
Wild Winged Wonders
This week, campers will grab their binoculars and explore the many birds that call Rancho Mark West and Bohemia Ecological Preserve home. From the fluffy down of a baby robin to the silent wings of barn owls, campers will learn all about the incredible adaptations that enable birds to survive and thrive across the world. Packed with fun games, challenges activities like nest building and creative sensory exploration, this week will be a hoot!
Aventuras Aladas: Maravillas de las Aves
Esta semana, tomaremos binoculares para explorar las muchas aves que habitan en Rancho Mark West y la Reserva Ecológica Bohemia. Desde las suaves plumas de plumón de un petirrojo bebé hasta las alas silenciosas de los búhos, aprenderemos sobre las increíblesadaptaciones que permiten a las aves sobrevivir y prosperar en todo el mundo. Con juegos divertidos, retos, actividades como la construcción de nidos y exploración sensorial creativa, ¡esta semana será inolvidable!
Creeks, Critters, and Life on the Farm
This week, campers will explore the rich diversity of life found on the farm and in the cool, salmon-bearing creeks that make this place so special. We will learn where food comes from as we plant, harvest, and taste organically grown fruits and vegetables. The week includes games, time with farm animals, discovering beneficial insects in the orchards, and creating projects with garden herbs and spending the afternoons exploring life in the creeks!
Arroyos, Animales y la Vida en la Granja
Esta semana, exploraremos la diversidad de vida que se encuentra en la granja y en los frescos arroyos donde habitan los salmones, lo que hace que este lugar sea tan especial. Aprenderemos de dónde vienen los alimentos mientras plantamos, cosechamos y probamos frutasy verduras cultivadas de manera orgánica. La semana incluye juegos, tiempo con los animales de la granja, descubrimiento de insectos benéficos en los huertos y la creación de proyectos con hierbas del jardín, además de pasar las tardes explorando la vida en los arroyos.
